Under-eye hollows can make us look tired and gaunt. Very light hyaluronic acid dermal fillers can be used for these delicate areas and disguise tear troughs.
The tear trough groove is where cheek skin meets delicate lower eyelid skin, often creating a junction which can be very distinct and cause worsening of dark circles. This groove can be hereditary or happen as a result of natural ageing as the skin becomes thinner, loses collagen and elastin and the area suffers with volume loss. Lifestyle factors such as smoking, alcohol, an unhealthy diet and sun exposure can also worsen skin elasticity and strength.
In some cases, injectable fillers can be used to improve the appearance of the under-eye area.
Tear trough treatment is usually performed using a canulla rather than a needle, for safety, as the eye area can be extremely delicate. For the same reason we are using a dermal filler product specifically designed for the under eye area called Teosyal Puresense Redensity 2 by Teoxane. This HA filler is a thin gel that contains Lidocaine to reduce any discomfort experienced during treatment. In addition, this product is less hydrofilic which helps to reduce risk of swelling. This type of filler also helps to hydrate and replenish the skin by infusing amino acids, antioxidants, minerals, vitamins and it helps to provide a natural light reflection.

At REclinic, we believe in proactive care—because looking after your body now can make all the difference later. One area that’s often overlooked until it causes problems? Your joints. As we age, it’s not just the wrinkles or the grey hairs we notice. The aches and stiffness in our knees, hips, and ankles can creep up too—especially if we’re carrying a little extra weight. Here’s why it happens, and most importantly, what you can do about it.
